For our friends at Tamayo house, this is a chance for young people to grow in personal character through service to others. Of course, it’s not just the Singhs and our friends at Tamayo house who have gotten involved. I’m so pleased and grateful to the Singhs and to Tamayo house for their personal involvement in offering Help & Hope to the Hungry, the Homeless, & the Hurting. For the Singh family,

spend the first Saturday of each month at local businesses with their donation box, asking community members to donate to Loaves & Fishes—and they’ve raised a lot of money, too.

Students from Lamar Elementary (where my wife teaches music) donated 300 toothbrushes. See page 2 for a picture of Lamar students.

Personal involvement makes the difference—in the lives of those we serve and in the lives of those who offer the service.
